The object of my desires:
Ginger & Smart Caged Peony Dress with sleeve

Spring is here! And all of a sudden my social calendar is filling up – guess it’s time to come out of hibernation now…
With that in mind, this week’s Wishlist Wednesday isn’t beauty related (gasp!), because instead I’ve found myself wandering the shops trying to find something that resembles this masterpiece of a dress from Ginger & Smart’s SS13 collection. It’s floral, which is always my go-to for spring dresses (cue Miranda Priestly), but with a modern, structured edge.
Peonies are super gorgeous and super expensive – if I get married they will get an entire budget of their own! – so I should’ve known that they’re expensive even in print. When I first saw Sarah Harris wearing this dress, I fell completely in love. I even tweeted her asking the brand… only to find out it was way out of my price range. But hey – a girl can dream! From work functions to weddings, this dress would be a knockout for Spring/Summer.
From the website:
The peony colours are cleverly inverted giving a glow as if lit from behind. This silhouette is designed to nip and tuck body for a super flattering shape. The angular black stretch inserts and sleeve make this zip up and go piece both effortless and modern. The sporty zip and angular panels give this classically feminine shape a cool girl edge.
What are you looking forward to for Spring?
And what stores would you recommend to get great dresses for under $200?
