Introducing your bold new go-to shades for summer! The beauties at ulta3 have launched their Tribal Talk * collection, a range of matte longwear lip creams & liners as gorgeous as they are bright. The tropical shades are inspired by the contrasting colours of the jungle, and we all know the matte lip look is totally on trend right now – maybe the only thing we have to thank Kylie Jenner for!
The five matching lip creams and lip liners are super soft, long lasting and intensely pigmented.
The lip creams have a whipped texture, tropical scent, and they don’t dry out your lips. There can be a little colour transfer initially, so be wary when eating or drinking, but the vibrant colour stays put! The sponge-tip applicator is the perfect size for precision and definition, and picks up just enough product.
The longwear liners glide on without tugging, and have a built-in sharpener in the lid for extra convenience. For longer lasting matte perfection, use the liner all over your lips, followed by the lip cream. And how handy is it that the colours match the lip creams? I love when brands do this, so you don’t need to worry about ending up with an obvious line that doesn’t quite match!
“All girls love a good statement lip! My fave shade at the moment is Hunter Gatherer, it’s the perfect punch of colour to brighten up my outfits for Spring Racing Carnival this year. The longwear liner gives my luscious lips extra staying power and then I use the lip cream to fill, for super intense colour that lasts” – Elyse Knowles, ulta3 ambassador
Formula aside, the colours alone are a reason to get excited about the Tribal Talk range! So bold and bright, the exotic colours will have you feeling like a rockstar. My favourite is Tribe Pride, which is a like a grown-up Barbie pink that makes me feel sexy and girlie at the same time.
Amazon Orange is probably my least favourite, as it doesn’t suit my skin tone, but would work well with fair skin. And the lip liner for Hunter Gatherer doesn’t have the same deep intensity as the lip cream, which can make a slight difference on the lips.
The products can be purchased individually, as 5 piece set, or as a colour duo. So plenty of options depending on what colours you’re after! And with prices starting at $4.95 for a lip liner and $7.95 for a lip cream, they’re an absolute bargain. If you haven’t tried matte lip creams yet, now’s your chance!
