I was tagged by the gorgeous Lou from Littlewing Lou, and I love these little ‘getting to know you’ posts, so here are my answers:
Describe your skincare routine in five words…
Nothing that takes too long!
What’s your skin type?
Sensitive/combination – I would have said oily a few years ago until I realised what I thought was horrendous pimples were actually bouts of dermatitis.
What’s your favourite skin care product?
I’ve become a total oil cleanser convert after buying the Dr LeWinn’s 4 Fusion Cleansing Oil – I use it every night without fail, and it removes makeup & grime, leaving my face hydrated and super smooooth.
Top Blemish Zapper?
Pure aloe vera, because it dries out the area while still nourishing the skin, giving the blemish the boot.
Face wipes, yay or nay?
Only if I’m on holidays and desperate – there’s a pack that lives in my toiletries bag, but otherwise it’s oil cleanser all the way.
Toner, yay or nay?
Ooh I’ve come back to toner recently thanks to the A’kin Orange Blossom & Chamomile Toner – and I’ve also been using the Jurlique Rosewater Mist for the past week as well, since winning it through the lovely Nicola at First World Beauty.
High End Skincare or High End Makeup?
I’m a skincare girl all the way – any time I try high end makeup it’s just too heavy for my skin, and I’m a big fan of a perfect base over a perfect face. Plus I’d love to try SK-II or La Prairie one of these days.
What’s the most unusual skincare product you’ve tried?
I really haven’t tried anything unusual… yeah, sorry. Nothing comes to mind at all!
You’re in a French pharmacy and can only pick one item – what is it?
Well lots of the French brands are available over here now – but the Vichy Idealia Life Serum looks fantastic, and Sandra’s review over on The Black Pearl Blog might have made me drool a little.
Tell us your top skincare tip
Moisturise! I never thought my skin could handle moisturiser, everything just made it break out, but I persevered and finally found one that suited me (Sukin was my savior!) – and my skin loves me for it!
