SHE Eye Liner Pencil – Storm

SHE Aromatherapy Eye Liner Pencil Storm

Of all the cosmetics out there, I think eyeliner can have the biggest impact on how you look. Whether you apply it above the eye, below the eye, or all around. Whether you choose black, brown, white or coloured. Whether it’s a pencil or a liquid. A thin line or a dramatic winged look. There are so many variations, making eyeliner one of the easiest, most versatile items you can throw in your makeup case.

However, finding an eyeliner that doesn’t make me want to scratch my eyes out can be a struggle. Seriously, it’s ridiculous how sensitive my skin is – I can only trial new eyeliners on evenings when I don’t plan on leaving the house, in case my eyes end up sore and bloodshot. Which made for a nice surprise when I almost forgot I was wearing this SHE Eye Liner one evening, and only remembered when I went into the bathroom to wash my face before bed! The gentle formulation is free from parabens, synthetic dyes and fragrance, and it makes my eyes sparkle for all the right reasons.

SHE Aromatherapy Eye Liner Pencil Storm

The creamy formula applies like a dream, thanks to the inclusion of jojoba oil, olive oil, cocoa butter and hyaluronic acid. It glides on easily, and is heavily pigmented so you don’t need to spend too long to achieve a dramatic result. The shade, Storm, is a deep grey-blue that makes it less intense than black, but with the same impact. It would likely look even better on someone with blue or green eyes – but it’s versatile enough for anyone. The eyeliner is also available in Ebony, Oak and Topaz.

It claims to be long-lasting, but I found it started to slide after around the 3 hour mark, especially on a warm day. Luckily, the eyeliner comes with a click-lock lid, so you can take it with you for quick touch-ups as necessary. And the eyeliner winds up and down, so you don’t need to sharpen or worry about the crayon part snapping. I also love the fact that it always stays the same, and you’re not left with a little stub of eyeliner at the end. It’s a great design for lazy and/or clumsy people, and I’ll definitely be hunting down the other shades to add to my collection!

  • Ooooh pretty. I also find it really hard to find an eyeliner that doesn’t start melting off my face after a few hours. I found the Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner pretty good, but I have yet to master the art of applying liquid eyeliner. Totally impressed by that closeup shot too btw. How did you do it?!

    • One of resolutions last year was to master liquid eyeliner – I can do it, but am still figuring out how to create a good wing! And the closeup involved taking MANY photos, but all using my Canon 600D and a 50mm lens – it’s fantastic for detail!
