It’s no secret that I love an affordable product that actually works – who doesn’t? Expensive products are lovely, and they feel completely luxurious, but you also need a cheapie that you can use on a daily basis, that does the job without breaking the bank. This is exactly what you get with the Natural Instinct Energising Body Wash and Body Lotion*, two products from an Aussie brand that totally understands its target market. All of the goodness for a quarter of the price – plus, reading the ingredients lists makes me want to be healthier all round!
First up is the Energising Body Wash, and before I get into too much detail, I have one important thing to tell you. It smells like lemonade! Like something that sits in between traditional lemonade, and Sprite. This is surprisingly refreshing, and I genuinely love using it! The key ingredients are lemongrass (which might explain the smell, and has antiseptic properties), ginger (which detoxifies and relieves joint aches), ginkgo (which holds antibacterial properties) and acai (which has potent antioxidant free radical fighting properties). It’s a fairly translucent, watery formula, which lathers softly and leaves you with fresh, clean skin. Gentle enough for everyday, all-over use. I have already repurchased!
The Body Lotion uses jojoba, rosehip and avocado oils to create a sumptuous lotion that feels like a much more expensive product. It’s thick, yet easily absorbed, leaving your skin moisturised and hydrated (perfect for this wintery weather we’re having in Sydney right now!). The mix of essential oils help to replenish your skin, giving it a boost of antioxidants; however, they also give it a very heavy scent. It’s not something I am a fan of, and I think it could be the combination of jojoba and chamomile that I am smelling. It doesn’t linger for too long, but it does interrupt any perfume that you might want to spritz.
