A festive lip glaze – yes please! Here’s a quick review to keep the Christmas spirit alive.
Red is the perfect lip colour. A warm red for winter and a bright red for summer are total cosmetics staples. And for the daytime – a nice red lip glaze is casual yet sexy. And this gorgeous Antioxidant Lip Glaze in ‘Apple’ from Innoxa has been making regular appearances over the past couple of weeks.
Innoxa’s range of Antioxidant Lip Glazes are inspired by fruits and they come in five shades/flavours: Apple, Plum, Tangerine, Berry & Guava. They are infused with antioxidants and nourishing ingredients such as pomegranate seed oil, shea butter, vitamin E and green tea extract, and are designed to condition and repair lips. They are glossy without being sticky or tacky, and can be worn alone or over lipstick. I’ve been wearing the Apple shade over my Candy Apple Revlon Lip Butter when I want to make more of an impact! The below is a heavy coat of the lip glaze by itself, to show the colour – note that it definitely doesn’t stay this pigmented for long (hey, it is still a gloss after all).
I sniffed my way through all 5 ‘shades’ and the Apple was my favourite by far. It smells exactly like the Darrell Lea green apple liquorice – which, if you’ve never had it, smells completely divine. It’s pretty much a super sugary apple scent. I almost didn’t pick this up because it was the last one I tried, and for some odd reason, the rest all smelt like playdough to me. Yep. Every other shade. Playdough. But this one – delicious apple!
The colour is vibrant but it does rub off quickly. I find it lasts one hour max before I need to reapply. But the wand makes for easy application and the colour pay-off is completely worth it. As far as glosses go, Innoxa are onto a winner here.
