Review: Grown Vanilla & Orange Peel Hand Cream

Grown Vanilla Orange Hand Cream

The good:
We’re in the final month of winter now, which means our skin has had just about enough of the cold and the wind, and this hand cream is the perfect cure.

The Grown Vanilla & Orange Peel hand cream does everything a good hand cream should – it nourishes and softens, leaving your hands hydrated and totally touchable. It also has a fabulous non-greasy formula, so I can lather it on whilst at my desk and then get right back to typing.

The star ingredients in this are all listed on the tube itself: grape seed, wheatgerm, rosehip oil and camellia seed oil (plus the namesakes, vanilla and cold pressed orange peel oil). These beauties help with cell growth, boost collagen production, and enhance your skins ability to retain moisture. Which all sounds grand to me!

It also smells divine! The warmth of vanilla with the tartness of orange peel – you can’t actually smell it straight out of the tube; the scent seems to be released as you use it, which remains a nice surprise each time you apply it.

The bad:
I’m clutching at straws here, but although it doesn’t leave your hands with any greasy residue, they do look greasy. It’s really weird.

And the packaging:
This is exactly what makes you reach for a Grown product in the first place. The gorgeous old-fashioned apothecary style feels really special, and it looks great on display.

  • This hand cream looks fantastic! I have SO many to use up before I buy a new one, but I’ve put this on my wish list for future reference 🙂 Great review!

  • Although I don’t own it, it smells incredible. I’ve added it to my wish list – anything that doesn’t feel greasy catches my attention:) Great post! 🙂

I love this review, makes me want to immediately try the product. I have some Aesop hand cream which smells divine and is just gorgeous. Pricey though.

    • This one was more than I’d normally spend on hand cream, but I think it’s won me over & I’ll definitely be trying some more in the future – might have to take a trip to the Aesop counter at some point 🙂
