Review: CROP natural skincare

CROP natural skincare

Meet CROP, a new skincare brand that you will find in all Coles supermarkets nationally by the end of September. It makes me so happy when big chains agree to stock Australian made/owned products, and these are especially wonderful because they offer 95% naturally derived ingredients and they are ridiculously affordable! They promise to be cruelty free, as well as paraben, sulphate and phthalate free, and have a strong emphasis on nature:

“Each ingredient has been thoughtfully selected to bring out the best in your skin while providing you with the nutrients needed to make your skin glow. Our products are formulated without the use of harsh chemicals and harvested from sustainable natural resources to ensure your body is getting only the best that nature has to offer.” – CROP Natural Skincare

CROP double sided facial wipes* ($6.00, 25 wipes)  These hypoallergenic wipes are dual purpose, which means that one side contains textured microbeads to gently exfoliate and brighten the skin, while the reverse soothes and polishes. They are large enough that you can use them for your face, neck & décolletage, yet not so large that you feel the need to cut them in half (as I do with my Milk & Co Beauty Wipes). They are ideal for travelling, or for when you are in a rush and don’t have the time to use a cleanser, and the re-sealable closure lasts fairly well. There is not distinct scent, which is actually quite nice, and there is also no alcohol, which means they are gentle through and through.

CROP gentle cleansing gel* ($12.00)  Enriched with an essential oil blend containing eucalyptus, rosemary, lemongrass and peppermint, combined with rosehip oil, aloe vera and vitamin E, this cleanser removes dirt and purifies skin at the same time. It is gentle enough for everyday use – and wonderful for sensitive skin – but it’s also strong enough to remove makeup and impurities with ease. It lathers nicely and a little bit goes a long way. I will definitely be stocking up on this little beauty, as I find myself reaching for it morning & night at the moment.

CROP daily facial moisturiser* ($12.00)  The fast-absorbing formula utilises a blend of mandarin, lemongrass, bergamot, nutmeg and basil to deeply nourish and hydrate. My skin laps this up and doesn’t leave me with any heaviness, despite the rich ingredients. This is the perfect one-tube-fits-all in terms of skin types, as I believe it would provide a range of benefits for everyone. For an extra boost, add a few drops of their pure oils, especially at night!

CROP pure MacadamiaArgan and Rosehip oils* ($15-$18)  These 100% pure natural oils are perfectly positioned for those people who have previously shied away from facial oils, or who can’t justify paying a small fortune. Their uses are so wide & varied, and after trialing all 3, I’m still not sure I can pick a favourite!

  • The Macadamia oil can be used to cleanse or moisturise, providing hydration for the face, body, hair and nails, and fighting the signs of ageing. It is deceivingly mild, because you don’t notice anything spectacular when you apply, and then BAM your skin is glowing and your hair is baby soft. It’s a complete wonder oil and I have no idea why it’s not more popular!
  • The Argan oil is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids, making it ideal for all-round care – it’s not just for hair any more kids. It also increases skin elasticity and promotes nail growth and strength, so you’ll want to use this one all over.
  • The Rosehip oil protects and restores thanks to vitamins A & C, making it a great choice for anyone with skin damage or imperfections. I don’t think I need to bang on about the benefits of rosehip oil, but lets say this one definitely competes with the bigger brands in terms of quality.

  • Ooh I always love seeing a new skincare range, especially one that’s easily accessible. I’ll have to keen an eye out for Crop when I do the groceries!

    • I do love when I can shop for multiple products in the one place, so a big thumbs up to Coles for stocking this new range!

  • This brand sounds amazing – I love the packaging! I will definitely have to have a snoop of them next time I’m in Coles. The cleanser and oils sound amazing!

Mum got a couple samples of the dual face wipes and I heeaaart them soooo much!! I have quite sensitive skin on my face as does my best friend who has very dry skin and is prone to eczema, both her and I had no reactions (which we can get quite a bit some times) and no stinging feeling was left like some wipes that are a bit too strong. I even use these as a makeup remover/wipe when I’m lazy after a long night. They leave my skin feeling so fresh and smooth.

Would 100% recommend the face wipes and will definitely start buying them after I run out of my samples. Might even try their other products!

    • The wipes are amazing quality for the price, and you’re right, they are perfect for sensitive skin! Thanks so much for sharing your experience, it’s so great to hear what other people think. And I definitely recommend trying their cleanser, or one of the oils!
