You might be familiar with Nude by Nature’s range of quality cosmetics, but their skincare has also gained a cult following – and for good reason! Their no-fuss products provide a one-stop-shop no matter your skin type, with a tagline that makes me smile: Because skin feels better Nude.
Nude by Nature Daily Cleanser* ($17.95 // 125ml)
This light, gentle cleanser has a mild foaming action, replenishing the skin’s moisture levels without drying. Witch hazel is used to cleanse and tone the skin, while pro vitamin B5 and vitamin E moisturise and provide antioxidant defence. It also has a boost of Australian native ingredients: kakadu plum for its high vitamin C content, lemon myrtle for its antiseptic properties, plus quandong and desert lime to nourish and protect the skin from the visible signs of ageing. The lemon myrtle shines through in the scent, but it also hinges on a slightly medicinal, Strepsils scent. You only need a small amount to get a good lather, and my skin felt immediately softer and more hydrated, with a hint of tightness from the witch hazel (which would make it ideal for people in the late teens, early 20’s). The best part is that my skin has never reacted to it – in fact it’s become one of the few cleansers I can rely on no matter the state of my skin!
Nude by Nature Face Scrub* ($17.95 // 150ml)
I do love a creamy exfoliator! This scrub uses the same native Australian ingredients as the cleanser, plus a buffet of additional ingredients. Coconut husk, jojoba beads and walnut shells gently buff away rough texture from the skin without any harsh scrubbing. Glycolic acid, an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) which safely removes dead skin cells, reveals a fresher complexion. And avocado, rosehip and jojoba oils nourish and hydrate the skin. With no harsh chemicals, this is perfect for all skin types – gentle yet incredibly effective. I’m using it 2-3 times a week and my skin adores it. The main scent that I notice in this is the jojoba, although even this is faint. It’s like you’re smelling the long-ago remnants of a wood-burning fire. Cosy and natural.
