I’m a little obsessive about showers. Once a day at the absolute minimum, but twice is normal in the warmer months – or actually, in the cooler months too, because even though it’s cold, all those layers make me sweaty (TMI?). So safe to say, I go through body wash like nobody’s business. And while body lotion used to be an optional luxury, it’s now a necessity as my skin doesn’t quite spring back the way it used to in my teens – and nobody likes scaly legs!
I’ve reviewed their body washes & lotions before (HERE and HERE), and have confessed to being a huge fan, so I was stoked when I got the chance to trial the Natural Instinct Sensitive Soap Free Body Wash and Body Lotion* as well. Anyone who has been following this blog knows how excited I get when something contains the word sensitive! Both products have been dermatologically tested, and are hypoallergenic and fragrance free, meaning that they are perfect for people who suffer from dry skin, dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis.
And while they aren’t packed full of ingredients, the ingredients they have chosen are packed full of the good stuff. There’s pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E, which deeply soften and soothe skin, and glycerin, which hydrates and seals in moisture without causing breakouts. Plus the Body Wash has the added benefit of citric acid to assist with uneven skin tone and clogged pores, and the Body Lotion boasts Sweet Almond Oil for intense nourishment.
Both products are cruelty free, vegan and free from sulphates, parabens and other harmful chemicals. The Body Wash is a bit watery for my liking, and I have to use it with an exfoliating glove to stop it running off my hands before I can get it to lather properly. I think if it was slightly thicker, it would be much better – but that may be the ‘soap free’ aspect coming into play. The Body Lotion is lightweight and absorbs easily, leaving no fragrance to interfere with your perfumes.
