My second Liebster Award nomination!

Liebster Award
Well isn’t this a fabulous surprise – I’ve been nominated a second time (see my first nomination over here)! Any anxiety I had about joining the beauty community has disappeared now – you are a truly wonderful group of people.

Thanks to That Little White Dress for nominating me as one of her favourite up & coming blogs, and here are my answers to her questions:

1. What is your favourite food – one that you can cook and eat almost everyday?
I’m a total carnivore, so I’m going to say chicken, since that’s definitely the thing I eat the most already! There’s so much you can do with it.

2. If you were given a one way plane ticket, where would you go and why?
Italy – I went there in late 2011 and absolutely adored it. Plus, once I was in Italy, it would be easier & cheaper to travel around the northern hemisphere. It’s so lonely down here in Australia, and costs a fortune just to leave the country!

3. Name the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done.
This is fairly tame, but it would be getting my belly button pierced – it was the final day of Schoolies (like the American Spring Break) and I was waiting for a friend to stop bleeding after getting her ears pierced (here’s a hint, don’t get a piercing while still drunk!) and made the snap decision that I was going to get my belly button pierced! It hurt like hell, and the plane ride home certainly didn’t help, but I’ve still got it & I love it.

4. What/who makes you happy and content in life?
Predictable, but my boyfriend & our pet rabbit. I love nothing more than chilling out at home, watching daggy movies with them on the couch (yes, both of them – he’s a very spoilt bunny!)

5. If you were given an opportunity to study absolutely anything and anywhere, be it languages or hard core maths, what would it be, where and why?
I would love to study Social Media Marketing with some uber-smart Google types in Silicon Valley – I just want to know what they know, and be surrounded by that passion and intelligence – and the networking opportunities would be insane.

6. Do you prefer going out for dinners or making one at home?
Going out for sure! We have fun cooking at home, with the radio on and some occasional dancing – but there’s nothing better than a gourmet meal, a bottle of wine, and no washing up.

7. What drives you insane?
Passive aggressive people – just say what you mean without making me feel incompetent!! I’m no good at passive aggressive, it confuses and upsets me.

8. State one thing that you love about yourself! It can be unique talent or just something that you embrace about YOU  🙂
Can I be really superficial here and say my boobs?! They can be a pain at times (seriously, the most demure outfits can suddenly look totally skanky!) but they can also look really good – haha too much information?!!

9. What is your ideal holiday?
Something relaxing, but with a bit of culture. I want beaches and cocktails, plus architecture and history.

10. What are your favorite desserts?
Oh this could be a long list!! I just finished a raspberry soufflé and it was delicious! I enjoy fairly plain desserts, with just one or two flavours – cheesecake, crème brûlée, panacotta, lemon tart, chocolate muffin… yeah, I’m a dessert person!!

I’m not going to nominate people as it was hard work last time finding 11 blogs with under 200 followers (I follow a lot of bigger blogs – need to find more newbies like me!) – so I hope you’ve enjoyed my answers as much as I enjoyed writing them. I’m having a ball with this whole blogging thing, and it’s really wonderful to have people supporting and encouraging me.

x Amy
