Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a fabulous night. I was lucky enough to be at a Gatsby themed party in a harbour view apartment in Sydney, so it was a night to remember! And if you’re still going today, I’m sending you a digital high five. I am definitely not that energetic!
A new year always makes me feel slightly relieved. It really is a fresh start. A chance to look back on the previous year with a sense of nostalgia, as we make exciting new plans for the year ahead.
And 2014 is going to be huuuge!
Do you make new year’s resolutions? I suck at keeping mine, but love to make them anyway. Good intentions and all that! But this year I’m keeping them simple, so maybe they stand a chance.
2014 New Year’s Resolutions:
1. Read more non-fiction, particularly biographies and marketing books, to help with my outlook & my career.
2. Schedule blog posts when I receive/purchase products, because I work better with deadlines & structure.
3. Spend more time with my real friends, the ones that love & accept me no matter what – and learn to let go of toxic friendships.
4. Master liquid eyeliner.
5. Have a drink at every bar on Time Out’s list of Sydney’s 100 Best Bars before the end of 2014.
I think 5 is enough. And they should all be relatively achievable! (unlike the year when I resolved to ‘learn Italian’ and ‘buy a property’ when I was still in uni…)
So yes. I just wanted to end with a BIG thank you to everyone who reads and follows Bubbles & Blush! You have all been so incredibly lovely and supportive, and it means the world to me – I am looking forward to seeing with 2014 brings.
Sending wishes of love and happiness to all of you.
