There’s nothing more relaxing than slipping into a warm bath while a decadent face mask works its magic on your stressed-out skin. It’s my favourite way to zone out, and I love that it’s good for my skin at the same time! The Glamourflage Mia Sublime Face Mask* adds to the absolute self-indulgence of the whole experience, complete with a saucy 1950’s pin-up girl who simply screams treat yourself. And oh, I listened!
The active ingredient in this face mask is Chinese kaolin clay, which is used to purify by drawing impurities from the skin and absorbing oil. It also assists with circulation, reducing inflammation and causing a temporary ‘tightening’ of the skin. It also uses witch hazel, an astringent toner that effectively controls sebum levels, and aloe vera, shea butter and macadamia oils are combined to soothe and moisturise.
I have absolutely loved using this deliciously thick, luxurious face mask. It spreads easily and you don’t need too much to completely over your face and neck. It dries almost milky white, maintaining a thick, paste-like consistency – this isn’t one of those masks that tugs at your skin and stops your face from moving, making it perfect for sensitive skin. Simply rinse it off after 15-20 minutes, and your skin will feel noticeably softer and clearer. Plus, the scent is an intoxicating mix of floral and musk that almost puts me to sleep, adding to the relaxation factor!
And of course, let’s not forget the practical yet oh-so adorable packaging. The twist-top tin keeps moisture out, and the pin-up illustration of Mia – plus her personal profile – adds to the French glamour of it all. Oh oui, merci!
