The super wonderful Lou from brontesauruslou has nominated me for a Liebster Award – thank you so much, it’s really great to know that you enjoy Bubbles & Blush! The spirit of the Liebster Award is to celebrate the up & coming blogs that don’t get the same recognition as their uber-famous counterparts, so it feels pretty good.
I nominated 11 gorgeous blogs just over 1 month ago, so I think I’ll leave any nominees this time and just answer her 11 questions. So here are my answers:
1. What are your daily blog reads?
This is a hard one because I generally just scroll through Bloglovin! But the ones I click through to the most would be The Minted Beauty, Maskcara and Jennypurr (with a special mention going to Suri’s Burn Book haha!)
2. What are 3 of your Holy Grail products?
I’m only just getting started in the beauty/skincare world, but so far it would be: Australis Voluptulash mascara, Dr LeWinn’s 4 Fusion Cleansing Oil, and (even though I’m breaking my rules and listing a non-Aussie product) the Urban Decay Naked palette
3. If you could have one skincare product what would it be?
Oh my gosh – can I just say Aesop? Because I can’t think in terms of just one product
4. What is your biggest beauty fail?
Plucking my own eyebrows at age 14 – it was a total disaster, I plucked above the arch, they ended up thin and straight and just hideous
5. Who is your favourite blogger?
Ooh she gets two mentions here – Kate from The Minted Beauty, because she’s so friendly and encouraging!
6. What is your go to makeup look?
Fairly natural – pressed powder, mascara, neutral eyeshadow, and a pop of colour on the lips
7. What is your most used lip product?
Good old reliable Lucas Paw Paw Ointment, for sure. I have tubes of it everywhere!
8. Blush or Bronzer?
Well I’ve always gone for blush, but I’m teaching myself how to apply bronzer and actually think that might be taking the lead now… (Love, Beauty and Spa just posted a great ‘Starting Off’ post on bronzer the other week)
9. Who is your style inspiration?
I am in complete awe of Olivia Palermo – however, I definitely do not have her style and grace. So in terms of practical inspiration, that really just comes from the people around me
10. Favourite colour?
Pink – I used to try to fight it, because it always seemed so predictable and girlie, but I really do love it!
11. Favourite beauty icon?
Rachel Bilson – a perfect example of a natural look that works, and she totally rocks it every time! She knows how to enhance what she already has, and I think that’s something to keep in mind with beauty products
Thanks again to Lou for the nomination, these questions were a lot of fun to answer!
